Insects use sounds to communicate

Lecture: Insects use sounds to communicate, but most of the sounds can only be heard by other insects on the same plant. The sound will cause the whole plant to vibrate, and the insects can use the vibration to communicate with each other for important information. This sound has two purposes: use 1, First, insects can use this sound vibration to warn other insects of danger. For example, baby thornbugs may use this sound vibration to communicate with their mother when predators are coming, and the mother thronbug may come back quickly when she receives the warning signal sent by their young ones. Use 2, Second, insects can also use this sound vibration to communicate about the information about food. For example, treehoppers love to stay together and eat young and tender leaves. In order to find good food source, they may send some explorers first. And when the explorers found good food, they will use sound vibration to tell others where the good food is.
